Research

My research focuses on the role of peer relationships in childhood and adolescence. I am especially interested in how friendships and social networks shape young people’s well-being and support positive development. Using both network analysis and longitudinal methods, I study how peers influence one another, including how these dynamics contribute to substance use and related risk factors. Ultimately, my work aims to better understand the social contexts that promote adaptive youth development.
